Global Citizenship - Marine Environment 

September 2025    We are beginning to work towards our 8th Green Flag - Global Citizenship: Marine Environments.
 New committee members were chosen in the Junior Campus.
 
October 2025    4th Class took part in a Water Safety Workshop. (pictures p14-16)
 
November 2025    Classes took part in the 'Every Sea Tells a Story' poster competition run by An Taisce. (pictures p1-4)
 
2nd Class began working on the SeaKeepers Project.
 
Ms. McDonalds 5th Class spent the month of November learning all about Marine Life.
 
All classes from 1st - 6th Class engaged with the Marine Litter Awareness Survey.
 
January 2026    Classes took part in the 'Water and Me' poster competition run by An Taisce. (pictures p5-8)
 
May 2026    Junior Infants explored the theme of 'Under the Sea' and made some clay fish. (pictures p20-22)
 
2nd Class completed the SeaKeeper's Project.
 
Senior Classes took part in the 'Fintastic Sharks and Where to find them' and 'Microscopic Marvels to Ocean Giants' Webinars.
 
Junior Committee met to discuss a plan for World Ocean Week.
 
June 2026    3rd Class completed the Primary Aquatics Water Safety Programme. (pictures p17-19)

 

Junior School took part in World Ocean Week. We had a colouring competition with all our favourite sea creatures.
 
5th Class took part in the 'Something's Fishy' Workshop with Inland Fisheries Ireland. (pictures p9-13)
 
Junior Campus Committee welcomed judges from the IVERK Show to our school to judge the school grounds and garden. We were lucky enough to win 1st prize in the upcycling category.
