Global Citizenship - Marine Environment 

September 2025    We are beginning to work towards our 8^th Green Flag - Global Citizenship: Marine Environments.
 New committee members were chosen in the Junior Campus.
 
October 2025    4^th Class took part in a Water Safety Workshop. (pictures p14-16)
 
November 2025    Classes took part in the 'Every Sea Tells a Story' poster competition run by An Taisce. (pictures p1-4)
 
2^nd Class began working on the SeaKeepers Project.
 
Ms. McDonalds 5^th Class spent the month of November learning all about Marine Life.
 
All classes from 1^st - 6^th Class engaged with the Marine Litter Awareness Survey.
 
January 2026    Classes took part in the 'Water and Me' poster competition run by An Taisce. (pictures p5-8)
 
May 2026    Junior Infants explored the theme of 'Under the Sea' and made some clay fish. (pictures p20-22)
 
2^nd Class completed the SeaKeeper's Project.
 
Senior Classes took part in the 'Fintastic Sharks and Where to find them' and 'Microscopic Marvels to Ocean Giants' Webinars.
 
Junior Committee met to discuss a plan for World Ocean Week.
 
June 2026    3rd Class completed the Primary Aquatics Water Safety Programme. (pictures p17-19)

Junior School took part in World Ocean Week. We had a colouring competition with all our favourite sea creatures.
 
5^th Class took part in the 'Something's Fishy' Workshop with Inland Fisheries Ireland. (pictures p9-13)
 
Junior Campus Committee welcomed judges from the IVERK Show to our school to judge the school grounds and garden. We were lucky enough to win 1^st prize in the upcycling category.
