Mission Statement

Scoil Mhuire NS recognises the central role of the family as the primary educator of each child.  The school accepts and supports the constitutional right and duty of parents to provide for the religious, moral, intellectual, physical and social education of their child/ren.

As a Christian Community we welcome all pupils, while fostering a working partnership between family, school and parish.

We aim to create:

*   An atmosphere of trust and love in which the staff are supportive of each other and where each child is known and valued as an individual.
*   An environment where discipline aims at responsible freedom.

We aim to provide:

*   A broad and balanced curriculum which enables each child to develop sound moral values and personal qualities of self-worth, good behaviour, honesty and generosity and thus achieve the highest level of attainment depending on their ability.
*   A love and appreciation of their cultural and environmental heritage.

We believe in active participation and shared responsibility between parents, teachers and the wider community.

The co-operation and involvement of the whole school community - pupils, staff, parents, parish and Board of Management is necessary to enable each child to benefit fully from future educational opportunities.
